This is just a place for me to store recordings that I've either done myself, or taken part of. Most of these songs will be covers though I DO intend to start messing with original material as I learn more about the recording process (And learn how to do Drums and not sound like a dog howling when I try to sing so possibly NEVER hahaha)
Many thanks to Matt for getting me into this and answering all my silly questions as I learned the entire process.
Slayer - Seasons In The Abyss : Recorded in September of 2015. My second attempt at doing something with Vocals. I can hear things starting to slowly come together better and better each time I record. IMO this one sounds so much better than the Metallica tune I recorded last month. All Drums in EZDrummer (Drumkit from Hell set), All Guitars in Amplitube with my Carvin DC600 (Engl Amp Sim), Bass was recorded on my Ibanez SR375 through Amplitube's Ampeg SVT-4 Simulation and I used EZMix for the Vocals (Clean and Mean Vocal Setting).
Metallica - Sad But True : Recorded in August of 2015. I've done many a Guitar Recordings since the last one I posted on here but none of them really worth posting. I was getting tired of searching for fully completed songs that I liked minus just the Guitars. It was a little frustrating. So I decided screw it, I'm going to learnd to do ALL the parts myself. Yes, even the *gasp* singing! This is my very first attempt at just such a thing. I used EZDrummer for the Drums, recorded all the guiltar parts on my Carvin DC600 through Amplitube's ENGL Simulation (I used EZMix for the Solos), the Bass on my Ibanez SR375 through Amplitube's Ampeg SVT-4 Simulation and used EZMix for the Vocals. Reaper as my DAW. It's a little rough. Especially the Vocal volume which is all over the place. I'll probably patch it up a bit more in the future but I'm anxious to take what I've learned here and get to work on a band a bit more my speed! :)
Slipknot - Psychosocial : Recorded in August of 2014. I did all of the Guitars and Bass on this recording. A good buddy of mine stumbled across some original recorded material from the band with all the pieces separated so I could completely pull all guitars and Bass out of the mix and put my own in. Although I've done several recordings before this one (Some I might even put up here, but most are to terrible sounding hehehe), I consider this my first REAL attempt at properly mixing/mastering. I still need some work but it's a good starting point for me.
Dokken - In My Dreams : The 80's shall live on forever through me! :) Recorded in June of 2014. I stumbled across an excellent vocal cover of the song on YouTube that had no guitars on it and decided to give it a go. I did all of the Guitars (Including the somewhat sloppy solo hehehe).
